Milli-Q® Reference delivers Type 1 water customized to fit a broad range of research areas and makes ultrapure water conveniently available in any laboratory. It is designed to be fed from a pretreated water source.
Milli-Q® water • Optimized purification
To obtain Milli-Q® ultrapure water quality, the purification sequence has been fully optimized. Water is processed through Q-Gard® and Quantum® purification cartridges to reach a resistivity of 18.2 MΩ.cm (at 25°C) and a TOC value below 5 ppb. It then recirculates through a loop to the dispenser, where an Application Pak removes specific contaminants critical for your experiments. A range of purification cartridges and Application Paks is available for you to select according to your applications.
Made only for Milli-Q® systems, Jetpore® virgin ion-exchange resin is used in all Milli-Q® purification cartridges. Selected for its exceptional performance, it can capture even the most weakly charged ions due to its kinetic capabilities. Both Q-Gard® and Quantum® cartridges also incorporate RFID technology. This provides instant visibility on cartridge parameters and also ensures a safe & optimal performance of your system, giving you full traceability.

Its graphic screen displays water quality and system status information to ensure your system is properly operating, providing the best working conditions for your experiments. A Quick Reference Guide located in the door of the Milli-Q® Reference system provides additional support for retrieving information. Easily replaceable cartridges, a long-lasting UV lamp coupled with timely service alerts, allows your system to run smoothly all year long.
Millitrack® e-Solutions provide enhanced data management control, remote access capabilities to the system dashboard, and long-term electronic archiving for your Milli-Q® Reference. In addition, a complete range of Services, including Validation support, is provided by certified Field Service Engineers using calibrated equipment and Qualification Workbooks.
For full confidence in your Milli-Q® Reference system, it is delivered with a Certificate of Calibration for the built-in temperature and resistivity meters, and a Certificate of Conformity ensuring that it has been built and tested fully assembled following internal Standard Operating Procedures. In addition, all Milli-Q®Reference consumables are delivered with their Certificate of Quality. The manufacturing site is ISO® 9001 v.2000 and ISO® 140001 certified.

A report on conformity of Milli-Q® Reference water quality to Type 1 water quality as described by ASTM®, ISO® 3696 and CLSI® norms, and to Purified Water as described in USP and EP is available upon request.

The Milli-Q® Reference system is tested by an independent and accredited company for compliance with the CE directives related to safety and electromagnetic compatibility. The report can be consulted on demand. The Milli-Q® Reference system is built using components and practices recommended by UL and has been cUL marked. The registration can be verified on the UL web site.
